CANINE CONNECTION

THOSE WHO TEACH THE MOST ABOUT HUMANITY ARE NOT ALWAYS HUMAN.
Donald L. Hicks

Canine Connection is an interactive program design to help children understand how dogs communicate and think. The purpose of the program is three-fold: one, to give insight in how to remain safe around dogs; two, to establish a working relationship between dogs and kids so that certain behaviours can be taught such as tricks;  three, to learn  responsibility, empathy and awareness necessary to work with dogs.

Canine Connection is a powerful program to raise kids confidence. The main reason being that to teach dog behaviours a person has to have a confident way of thinking, a confident way of moving, and a clear and confident vision of what is wanted. Therefore kids learn to be assertive in an integrated manner and have results shown directly by the dog's behaviour.

Canine Connection is fun. Kids teach several behaviours such as: sit and down stay regardless of the distractions, speak, play dead, crawl, agility and much more.

This program is available for children 8 - 19 years old.

"After a lifetime of affectionate regard for dogs and many years of close observation and reflection, I have reached the conclusion that dogs feel more than I do (I am not prepared to speak for other people). They feel more and they feel more purely and more intensely." - Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson

Canine Connection is a  program develop to integrate the knowledge of dog psychology. This makes it easy for a person to communicate in a more natural way with a dog. After all, it is the people that have the ability to adapt to different languages and types of communication. Awareness is key, learning how to observe and provide adequate feedback is a skill that translates in every area of life.
The Practice of Canine Connection and Budo develop:
  1. Awareness and Observation Skills
  2. Physical Coordination
  3. Emotional Intelligence
  4. Discipline
